A place where small business owners join tax and accounting professionals to learn, grow and scale their businesses beyond their wildest dreams
My name is Marit Burmood and I am a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in the great state of Utah), I am an Enrolled Agent, and I have a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Utah Valley University and a Masters in Taxation from Weber State University. I am also a Main Street Certified Tax Professional and Certified Tax Coach through the American Institute of Certified Tax Planners.
But in my opinion, those credentials are not the only things that qualify me to be teaching material around building and growing a business. While having that strong foundational knowledge of taxes, accounting, and business management is extremely helpful for the technical aspects, it’s really the proverbial “street smarts” that I have gained over the years both from helping clients one-on-one AND being a small business owner myself that have allowed me to build the practical understanding necessary to really help both tax professionals and business owners level up their businesses and their lives.
So what can you expect from this newsletter? Well to be honest, I’m not sure yet. That’s why I would love your feedback in the comments below. I want to share the knowledge that people literally pay me hundreds of dollars an hour for to anyone who needs it at a free, or if you wish to subscribe, a more easily accessible cost.
I can touch on all kinds of different aspects around starting a business, running a business, and growing a business (and I’m not just talking about the financial side of things) from an all encompassing viewpoint that you just don’t get from other accountants.
My head, heart, and typing fingers are at your service to listen, discuss, and teach as needed. So take a minute to join and then let me know what you want to see from me in upcoming posts. Lets do this thing. Cheers to an incredible journey!
I LOVE THIS! I'm so excited for this newsletter!
What would you say the BIGGEST lesson is that you have learned so far as a business owner?
& how did you get through it?
